The instructor-in-training (IIT) program is a program designed to teach students who are proficient in sailing how to instruct students in sailing. This position is an unpaid, volunteer-based position that includes working side by side with an experienced instructor to help assist in the teaching and preparation of the daily lesson. This is a half-day to full-day position depending on preferences. We urge any student who is partaking in the IIT program to participate in an afternoon lesson to practice new sailing skills and fine-tune their existing skills. This position is for students 12+ and must be recommended by a staff member.
